Shafqat Tanvir Mirza is a Punjabi writer who has devoted his life to further the cause of language and literature in Punjab.
Besides his many published works in Punjabi, he is a regular column writer in Pakistan’s distinguished English daily Dawn. His columns form a week by week account of Pakistani Punjab’s literary and art scene; what’s being published in Punjabi and on Punjab? wither language movement? Though politics is not his forte, he occasionally brings to fore interesting aspects of Punjab’s politics as well.
